Allure & Butter London “Arm Candy” Collection | Swatches, Review + GIVEAWAY

Allure & Butter London “Arm Candy” Collection | Swatches, Review + GIVEAWAY

Butter London has teamed up with Allure magazine to create a limited collection called “Arm Candy.” These trendsetting nail shades will take your nail obsession one step further this fall. I view my nails as though they have to be dressed everyday. I love expressing myself through different nail shades and textures. Butter London and Allure have out done themselves with this collection.

There are a range of colors and finishes in this collection. The inspiration came from the Runway, street-style Blogs, Pinterest and Allure’s own photo albums from the 70’s.  Allure created and named all ten colors. There are six full size Individual Lacquers and a 4-Piece Fashion Lacquer Collection set sold separately. I was sent these six full size shades below for review.

From Left to Right: “Nude Stilettos” “Disco Nap” “Statement Piece” “I’m On The List” “It’s Vintage” “Lust or Must?”

I instantly gravitated toward the orange-red color named “Statement Piece.” This shade is feminine and classic it goes with everything.  The perfect shade to end your summer.

“Statement Piece” an opaque orange-red creame

When I was deciding which color to paint my nails I couldn’t decide on just one color. I felt that all three of these colors “ Nude Stilettos” “I’m On The List” and “It’s Vintage” where so beautiful and complimented each other so well. I decided that I would wear them all together. The combination of these colors reminded me of the Great Gatsby. They have a certain elegance to them. It’s a twist on a neutral nail for fall by combining all three colors.  This creates a little personality and showcases an interesting color dynamic.

“I’m On The List” a rose-gold, “Nude Stilettos” a sheer pink-nude creme, “It’s Vintage” an opaque rust creme.

I am celebrating a BIG birthday this October and “Disco Nap” will be on my nails for my celebration. It’s a charcoal glitter that is surprisingly mature. I have not been a huge fan of nail glitter but this polish has made me a convert.  This formulation is more fashion forward then  a high school prom. I am wearing two coats of polish in the picture below. It gave my nails a feeling of protection and strength.

I lust after everything Butter London puts out and must read every page of Allure magazine. No wonder my last color is called “Lust or Must” an opaque charcoal-brown creme.

“Lust or Must”

I  have never had an issue with the application of Butter London polishes. They are buttery smooth, never streak and have a long wearing high shine.  I am thrilled to have received this collection and will be wearing the full collection throughout the upcoming Fall months. Here is a little peek at the 4-piece Fashion Lacquer Collection.
