There is nothing better than taking a summer vacation to a tropical island that never has a bad weather day! This is the perfect island for a destination wedding except that it’s super windy all the time. Every trip I take turns into a “Beauty Testing Lab” for me, it’s the perfect opportunity to try out products each day and on multiple people so I can get an accurate product test and feedback. You can probably guess what was on my hot list for this trip titled: Destination Aruba of course, SUNSCREEN!! I made a quick trip to Ulta and requested the Pina Colada organic SPF 35 from COOLA. I had 5 sunscreens from oils, lotions, sprays ranging from SPF 4 to 35. I was ready to float in the lazy river, snorkel and lay out all day to see if these sunscreens really worked. In this blog post I will tell you about my experience with COOLA.
Have you heard of COOLA? I wasn’t that familiar with this company before I reached out to them to request the Pina Colada Sport SPF 35 for our recent Aruba trip. I did however hear great things about the company from my clients so I was curious if this product really worked. I chose COOLA beacause first of all it says Pina Colada on the bottle, that just screams VACATION TIME to me, it is organic and leaves out PABA, Paraben, Petroleum and Phthalates. All COOLA products are hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic and I love that the aluminum can is easy to recycle and contains no harmful chemical compounds, My husband was the perfect person to try this organic sunscreen on since we had a little issue with an allergic reaction to the chemical sunscreens when we were in the Dominican Republic on our honeymoon last December. I didn’t want to revisit that episode in Aruba so I made sure to have an organic option for him.
Besides not including the nasty chemicals COOLA sprays contain 97% organic inactive ingredients including Aloe, Cucumber, Algae and Strawberry Extracts they work together to nourish, repair and hydrate dry and or damaged skin. Algae and Strawberry extracts also contribute organic plant UV protection. Another organic ingredient that COOLA infuses is Red Raspberry Seed Oil this is a natural sunscreen and anti-inflammatory, rich in moisturizing Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids. It has shown an SPF of between 28 and 50!
I would definitely buy this product for my next island destination. My husband and I had no reactions and was not burned.
COOLA Sport 35 Sunscreen Spray is available in two flavors Citrus Mimosa and my favorite Pina Colada (6oz/$32.00) and can be purchased at the finest resorts, spas and specialty boutiques. COOLA can also be purchased online at www.coolasunscreen.com
