I have mentioned that I am a hairy Greek multiple times on my Beauty videos, vlog and blog more times than I would like to remember. It’s been a battle being so fair with such dark hair on my legs and my arms. I can’t believe I have waited so long to try the TRIA Hair Removal Laser 4X. This blog post is going to be an on-going post since I will not see results right away. If you missed my Tria Age-Defying Eye Wrinkle Correcting Laser Review, you could read it here.
You might be wondering how can I use a hair removal laser at home? The TRIA Hair Removal Laser 4X ($449) is the only FDA-cleared hair removal laser technology available for home use. So I can finally say goodbye to the days of shaving and being embarrassed at how hairy I am. The Tria Laser 4X deactivates the follicles in your skin that produce hair.
It emits a pulse of laser light, which heats up the dark pigment inside the hair and deactivates the hair follicle. It works only on naturally brown or black hair. You have to keep in mind that using the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X is not an overnight result of hairless wonder. To be most effective, the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X needs to treat each hair follicle during its active growth period. Hair grows in cycles, so multiple treatments are necessary over a three month period.
I wasn’t sure how comfortable using the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X would be, or maybe I should say how pain-free it would be. I knew I wouldn’t be consistent with a product even if it did promise a hair free life if it was going to be ultra painful. The day before I started treatment I did a patch test on my skin to make sure I didn’t have any skin reaction.
Everything looked great on my patch test and it wasn’t extremely painful, I was so excited to start my hairless journey. The Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X has different energy levels; I read that in their clinical study the higher levelers were found to be two to three times more effective. So for best results they recommended I use the highest setting that I could tolerate. I believe that the saying “Beauty hurts” would be an appropriate statement right about now.
One of the main things that attracted me to the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X is that I can get professional results at home. I can schedule my Tria Laser treatments when it’s convenient for me and in the comfort of my home. It’s a no-brainer. Here are the steps that I use to get gorgeous hairless legs and arms.
- I prepare my skin by cleansing it, I shave and dry off my legs or arms. I do my treatments while watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills! Hey, I can’t concentrate on just zapping my hair! I need real drama!
- I select a treatment level of intensity. I started out on level one and two just to see how it felt and if I could take level four and five. For my treatments, I am using level three without feeling like I am part of a Fifty Shades of Gray sequel.
- I then choose an area to treat. I am concentrating on my arms and legs right now. I place and hold the laser tip on my skin, after each pulse I lift it and place the tip in a new treatment area. It’s that simple.
- I do my treatments every Monday set two weeks apart.
I am very excited to becoming a hairless beauty blogger. I never really thought it was possible for me until I was introduced to the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X. It’s become my best beauty friend. I will keep you girls updated on my progress in the next three months. Until then here’s to zapping some hair follicles.
