Where The DIVINE Go
Tucked back in a quaint little city called Lauderale-by-the-Sea sits nothing else but something DIVINE; a cute boutique hair salon and spa with underlying French roots. I came across this little gem when I was on my morning walks to the beach, little did I know it was Jacques and Nicole’s (husband and wife team of Le Hair Club circa 1980’s) daughter Valerie and husband Christian’s new salon.
When I was a little girl I would go to Le Hair Club, a fabulous salon where French was overheard, pictures of fabulous models with the trendiest cuts graced the walls and the smell of French dark roast coffee permeated every stylist station. It was back in the day when French poodles perched on clients laps were a rarity not the norm, I guess at an early age I had a passion for anything and everything French.
Divine Hair & Spa is ultra chic with a clean and vibrant orange and white theme. In the salon they offer styling services starting at $37 for women’s hair cuts to single process color from $49 using only the best from Wella professional hair products. I am partial to the blow out’s from Andrea, I can get a wash and blow out for $30 and my hair is long and thick, that’s what I call smart pampering. Did I mention the unbelievable cleansing of your hair before your blow out? I have never seen my hair so bouncy and full. You can see what I am talking about in my YouTube Beauty videos.
On the spa front I am extremely picky when it comes to manicures and pedicures, the spa has to be spotless, hospital grade everything and a nail tech with extensive experience. I found the perfect manicurist Neda at DIVINE, not only is she an expert manicurist but she offers a water-less pedicure (Say NO to germs) and uses Gehwol Fusskraft products. Gehwol is the world’s most comprehensive medical pedicure line with over 50 products. It contains botanical and essential oils and is effective with your favorite lacquer line. On Friday’s you can get your manicure and pedicure done at the same time, now that’s what I call time management. Prices are right on target for a spa manicure $20 to a pedicure (water-less) $40. There are also waxing and facial treatments for men and women.
I love finding little hot spots that no one really knows about, when I go to a salon or spa I am there to relax, sip a glass of champagne and pamper myself. I have had my fair share of salon visits where I can’t even hear myself think which is completely stressful and totally counteracts my whole purpose of being there-to look better and less stressed.
