Fontainebleau Meets a Custom Made Bride
Fontainebleau Meets a Custom Made Bride
To kick off our Fall bridal season was no other than an incredible luxe wedding this past weekend at the famously iconic Fontainebleau Resort on Miami Beach. This property is rich with history from the early years of it’s opening in 1954 when the area was just a mangrove swamp. Designed by Morris Lapidus, The Fontainebleau arose during a time when Miami was regarded as the ultimate playground for the era’s most famous millionaires and celebrities. Everyone from the Rat Pack to Hollywood’s golden actresses were clamoring for a room at the Fontainebleau. Recently The Fontainebleau went under a $1 Billion dollar renovation that has put The Fontainebleau as one of the top wedding hotel/resorts in the world.
I was on location for the weekend starting with the rehearsal dinner hair and makeup look. I wanted to create a chic yet modern hair and makeup look for Dara. I love when I get to create a completely different style for the bride the night before the big day. Dara wore a cream and black BCBG flirty dress, I kept her hair down with loose waves and a smokey eye. Lots of false lashes and a nude lip completed her rehearsal look.
Wedding day was all a buzz in the bridal suite with 10 bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom, friends popping in and out and Fresh Beauty Studio’s hair and makeup team. I couldn’t get over how Dara set up all the bridesmaids gifts from their custom robes, bags and hangers. Now of course I have seen the brides new married name for her hanger but for all the bridesmaids? NEVER!
Each bridesmaid had in her gift bag a gorgeous necklace that complimented their bridesmaid dresses and gave them an aire of sophistication.
Fresh Beauty Studio’s stylist created unbelievable posh updo’s that rocked the bridal suite. The girls looked radiant with airbrushed makeup and elegant hair. There is a reason why you are not seeing front views of the bride and bridesmaids, I am waiting for the big reveal from the wedding photographer that was working with us. I guess you could say this is a little teaser
I had been hearing about Dara’s wedding dress for sometime since it was being custom made (enter angels singing) Now I know what all the talk was about. Her dress was bought at Zola Keller on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was absolutely stunning, we couldn’t wait for her to take it off the hanger and step into this once in a lifetime wedding dress.
As you could imagine I was thrilled to see that Dara picked out Jimmy Choo’s my favorite designer and the same pair that I wore just different style for my wedding last November.
There were a ton of details from vintage garter belts to a ring barers sign that made this weekend so magical. I will be posting more of this wedding in the weeks to come. I hope this Fontainebleau Meets a Custom Made Bride review is intresting for you.
