Harbour Island December 4th | Destination Wedding

Harbour Island Destination Wedding

By Nikol Johnson

Oh, how I love creating beautiful faces on a gorgeous island of Harbour Island in the Bahamas. I have lost count as to how many brides I have worked with over the last ten years in Harbour Island destination wedding. I decided not to vlog this trip since I just uploaded another recent Harbour Island May wedding that you can watch below at the end of this post. It will give you a great tour of Pink Sands and what I did for fun in my free time.

Our beautiful bride this past December flew all the way from San Jose, California to her Harbour Island destination wedding. She had a very laid back ultra-sweet personality. We flew in on Silver Airways which is my favorite airline to fly to Harbour Island because it is direct from Fort Lauderdale International Airport and always on time. We arrived on December 3rd to create a cool laid back beachy rehearsal dinner hair and makeup look for Elizabeth. It never gets old taking pictures on the water taxi leaving North Eleuthera heading over to Harbour Island.

The wedding day arrived, and we were up and on location at 7 am. The whole morning was dedicated to getting everyone looking gorgeous, beachy and fresh. The weather was abnormally warm for December, but we were prepared with some of our favorite island hair taming and oil absorbing products.

After the wedding, it was time to relax and unwind Harbour Island style at one of my favorite restaurants The Rock House. I was introduced to this exquisite place back in 2000. I always make it a point to visit on each trip. Who can resist a freshly squeezed blood orange or watermelon martini on this island?

It’s so rewarding to know that you have been part of a very special time in someone’s life. I received the sweetest note from Elizabeth and wanted to share this with you. These are the same cards that I ordered on Etsy for my wedding.

I will leave you with one of the wonderful pictures I took of Harbour Island’s beach right before we flew back to Florida.

Harbour Island holds so many special memories for me; I can’t wait for my next adventure.
