How to Style a Black Linen Dress

Summer is such a great time to wear one-hit wonders. That’s what I like to call casual summer dresses. You put on one piece off clothing grab an accessory or two and you look effortlessly chic.

Today I am wearing a black linen dress from Ann Taylor styled with a tortuous shell chain link necklace by Carolina Herrera and a hat under $20 from Amazon. I was pretty impressed with when this hat arrived from Amazon it’s just the right size, affordable not to mention goes with everything.

Another one of my favorite hats seen in the picture above gives a little more depth and texture to my outfit. During the summer months, I like to carry around a lightweight clutch like this one or this one in white. I have used this clutch with every outfit from shorts, jeans and skirts.

I keep my linen maxi dresses belted to give shape to my body. If I don’t belt long dresses I get lost in the material. I feel everything looks better when belted.
