Jason Wu Spring 2013

I tend to follow designers that create classic yet bold designs and Jason Wu was no exception for his Spring 2013 collection.  Hair and makeup was all about modern braids, strong brows and red lips.  I was happy to see Carolyn Murphy back walking his show along with Karlie Kloss both IMG models.  Jason’s collection was inspired by two of his favorite photographers Lillian Bassman and Helmut Newton www.helmutnewton.com  These two photographers share a common thread for the appreciation of the female form.  On the lips of all the models being interviewed was how “strong, feminine and classic with an edge”  Jason’s designs are.  “I want to make women feel beautiful and empowered”  says Jason “It’s all about balance”.  Take a look below from the Spring 2013 runway.
