October “Vive la France” Glossybox Review
October “Vive la France” Glossybox Review
I couldn’t wait to receive my Vive la France October Glossybox this month. I kept checking my mailbox every day dying to see what amazing French beauty products I would receive.
I have mentioned in my beauty posts before that this is the only monthly beauty subscription that I subscribe to at the moment. I was getting tired of receiving subpar products from other beauty subscription companies. Glossybox has been amazing with the exception of one month where I wasn’t impressed with the level of quality of the products and another month where they forgot to include my pink nail polish.
“A Girl Should Be Two Things, Classy and Fabulous.” ~Coco Chanel
The artistic box was designed by renowned illustrator, Jamie Lee Reardin. I thought it was interesting that there were palm trees incorporated into the design of the box since Paris doesn’t have palm trees. Jamie is from Canada and currently lives and works in Los Angeles so I am assuming that the girl on the box is her with the flare of Los Angles behind her.
The box was themed out super French down to the red tissue paper. I received the standard five deluxe/full size beauty products that are all from French Beauty Companies. Each box does not include the exact products that are shown on the product guide. Here is what I received in my Vive la France Glossybox.
- Lollipops Make Up Paris-Nail Lacquer in “Voyage A Paris” full size $10.00/.4 fl oz
- De Bruyere Paris-Red Lipgloss | Full size $17.50/.17 oz
- Phyto Phytokeratine Mask-Hair Mask | Full size $39.00/6.2 oz
- Sabe Masson-Le Soft Perfume in “Artist” | Full size $25.00/.17 oz
- Votre Vu-Oh Lighten Up! Intensif Treatment Spot Creme | Full size $59.00/.51 oz
Usually in each monthly box I find one product that is a standout. This month it’s the Sabe Masson Le Soft Perfume for me. As I am typing this, I am applying the Sabe Masson soft perfume to my wrists. It’s perfect if you want to be able to step into an elevator and smell feminine but not kill everyone with your scent. You can’t over do it with a soft perfume.
I love the complex, woody and unique scent that the “Artist” scent has. It’s composed of grapefruit, spice, cedar, patchouli, moss and musk so they weren’t kidding when they said it was complex. This perfume contains no alcohol or parabens. This unique soft perfume is ideal for all skin types, even sensitive. Best of all these perfumes are not tested on animals and the packaging is recyclable.
