Well, I can say as a native Floridian when asked “Some like it Hot?” YES more like Caliente baby! This past weekend was all about relaxation, sun, cocktails and spa. I headed down to South Beach for a little R&R and stayed at the ultra plush Mondrian Hotel www.mondrian-miami.com it is a Morgan’s hotel, sister properties to The Delano and The Shore Club so I knew I couldn’t go wrong. We started our weekend off by booking the “Dreamsicle” at the hotels Agua Spa, when they say it’s a Dreamsicle they are not playing around. Bond Street was next up for unbelievable sushi and my favorite cocktail The Purple Dragon a mix of hot sake and Chambord www.townhousehotel.com/bond/asp I visit their New York City spot when I am in the Big Apple without fail.
Saturday’s are all about pool, cocktails and some South Beach eye candy of course! We chilled by the pool that overlooks the Bay of Miami, took a dip in the pool and munched on bites from Mojito fries to spicy chicken ceasar salad.
I had a revelation when I was at the pool and it was not influenced by my delicious caprininia, I decided it was time for a change, time to cut my hair into a chic fun style. I wanted to do this for months just never found the right time or salon. We had booked manicure and pedicures at Some Like it Hot-Browns Beauty Lounge www.brownsbeauty.com on Lincoln Road and I thought what a perfect time to book my new “do!” You will see from the pictures below that I meant business, I booked Janet an amazing stylist that was up for the challenge. She cut, shaped and re-shaped my super thick hair and made it ultra sexy and modern. I would highly recommend Janet if you are thinking about a change. My hair is super hard to cut and a lot of work so if she can take that horrible cut I had and turn it into a polished sophisticated style she is a Rock Star!
The weekend ended with I am not kidding the best brunch I have ever had at Nemo on Collins Ave. They must of had 30 desserts it was unbelievable. We sat outside with the beautiful South Beach wind at our faces just teasing us with the lazy beach 1 block away. I am recharged and renewed for this summer season. The best part of it all was no flights, TSA craziness and stress.
