Gorgeous St. Lucia Wedding at La Belle Helene
St. Lucia Wedding at La Belle Helene
I was thrilled when I was booked over 10 months ago for Kristin and Brandon’s wedding June 1st, 2013 on the beautiful island of St. Lucia. Kristin and Brandon flew down from Maryland with 40 of their guests from all over the country to celebrate their wedding. Upon arrival to my very unique hotel or should I say Tree-house, I set up for Kristin to arrive for rehearsal dinner hair and makeup and Xtreme Lash fill. This is a great opportunity for destination brides to do a “trial” and get to know their artist/stylist before their wedding the next day. The rehearsal dinner vibe was cocktail but with a relaxed edge. I created a simple bronzed makeup look for rehearsal dinner with long beachy waves, this complemented Kristin’s chic Lilly Pulitzer long flowy dress with pops of green, pink and coral.
As you can image being on such a beautiful island the hair and makeup needed to be very clean and fresh. For the Bridesmaids the look was a Carrie Underwood inspired side bun with a bronzed makeup look. Mother of the Bride was wearing Nicole Miller and a large statement piece necklace, I wanted to create volume and simplicity. I gave Linda’s hair a high bun concentrating on texture and volume. This was an absolutely stunning look for her.
The wedding took place at a private villa that the Bride rented out for all her guests to enjoy called Le Belle Helene. Le Belle Helen is an 11 bedroom 10,000 sq. ft. villa with a 2.2 acre landscaped garden, a full staff and waterfall pool, the perfect setting for a destination wedding.
It property was breathtaking situated in between the Piton Mountains with a glorious view of the ocean. This backdrop made for one of my most beautiful destination weddings I have worked on so far.
Kristin wore a Kenneth Pool dress with matching veil, to complement this romantic dress. I created a chic intricate up-do with an ethereal makeup look using colors from the Urban Decay Ammo palette (one of my favorites right now). I had the privilege of working with Mikael Lamber photography (check out his blog for more pictures) and Raymond John Films.
I will have part two of my St. Lucia adventure of the 18th century cocoa plantation situated right in the middle of the rain forest where we stayed. Here are some pictures I took of Kristin and her bridal party on the wedding day. Hope you enjoy! xoxo
These clothes are beautiful.
