My husband and I have been traveling to New York City for my birthday every October for ten years! It seemed a little strange this year not to be going to the Big Apple, but it seemed even stranger that we haven’t traveled in a year! We decided to take a little impromptu staycation to Eau Palm Beach this past weekend and make up for being stuck at home for the past seven months.
On the birthday agenda was the following:
- Drink lots of Rose Champagne
- Drink lots of Rose Champagne
I think you get the idea of what I wanted the weekend to look like—an escape from reality, mental detox, enjoying life, and not worrying so much.
How is this for an entrance? I wanted a glam birthday weekend and that’s exactly what I got. I love styling for events and this birthday was an event!
I was a little nervous about staying at a hotel during the pandemic, I called the hotel and asked them what their COVID-19 protocol was, and they sent me this video to watch. I felt so much better knowing that they are on top of the CDC guidelines to ensure their guests are safe and comfortable.
Eau Palm Beach is the only independent property in Palm Beach to earn the coveted Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star recognition and one of ten in Florida to earn the AAA Five Diamond Award. They have some wonderful special offers going on now, which could end your year on a high note.
Upon arrival, I went up to change before I enjoyed my Rose champagne welcome drink. Check-in is completely touch-free, and they have clear plexiglass dividing guests and the reception check-in agents. If you know me, you know I am a huge fan of details. It was such a surprise to have a little welcome amenity waiting for us in our room. It’s the little details like this that make a stay so memorable.
Rooms with a view is an understatement at this resort. There is nothing better than waking up to the sound of the Atlantic ocean and a gorgeous sunrise.
I was in heaven sipping on champagne and taking in the exquisite floral arrangements that are redesigned every two days.
I know you are going to think about this blog post. I went from the lobby drinking champagne to cocktails, and you’re right. My only excuse is it’s my birthday, and it’s time to celebrate. Next up was a cocktail at Stir the lobby bar. I always order an old fashion cocktail when traveling. There is something about having someone make you a perfectly balanced craft cocktail. I am the worst at making a cocktail,s something on my 2021 to-do list, lol.
Dinner at Temple Orange was delicious and everyone made the night special. From the deep berry cabernet to the decant desert. I felt very lucky and didn’t want the night to end.
After a night of decadence, I headed to the spa for what else, a champagne body scrub and sparkling warm oil treatment. I chose this type of treatment because I wanted something a little different than a massage. It’s hard trying to exfoliate your entire body, and it’s such an important step to detoxify and rejuvenate. I shared getting the treatment on my Instagram Stories and had so many DM’s asking what type of treatment I was getting. The best part of the treatment was after she applied the salt scrub. I walked out of the room to a private garden shower to rinse the scrub off. I had ten minutes of a glorious warm shower in the Zen garden, and my skin felt like silk. Back on the massage table, I went now to receive the warm shimmer oil. This was an essential part of my birthday weekend and the start of a new year.
And that’s a wrap, ladies; I can’t wait to revisit Eau Palm Beach soon! I think staycations are the way to go! Easy, stress-free, and they recharge your mind, body, and soul in one weekend!
Thank you to Eau Palm Beach for hosting us for my birthday weekend! xoxo
