The Five Minute Manicure | KISS Everlasting French Review

I am always switching up my nail routine. Some days I am rocking a hot new polish the next week I am keeping it classic with French tips. This week I am testing out Kiss Everlasting French Nails. Purchasing a faux French manicure and applying them to your natural nails is the easiest way to get a salon-quality manicure in under five minutes.

I picked out the new Kiss style called Flexi-Fit, a patented new technology. It says that it creates “ultra comfort” for your nails.  I wanted to see if this meant that the nail itself was thinner and more flexible or if the nail was more curved than their other styles. I purchased this kit at CVS for $7.99. I used my CVS beauty coupons that I had been saving. This manicure cost me ZERO, ZILCH. NADA.

I put to test the longevity of these nails. The package says seven days (see picture below of my nails on the seventh day). They come with twenty-eight nails in the shape of “salon square.” I chose this particular style because the white tip was a pearl hue not stark white. You also receive in the kit pink nail glue, mini nail file/buffer and manicure stick. The nails range in sizes from zero to thirteen.

In just under five minutes, I had these gorgeous nails. The transformation was seriously unbelievable.

If you look closely at my nails there does seem to be some air bubbles. It probably wouldn’t be noticeable to anyone else, but I can see a couple tiny bubbles.  I would suggest putting the pink glue on tinfoil and applying it with a nail brush. You will get a nice even layer of glue on your natural nail. I didn’t like using the pink glue right out of the tube. You have to swirl the glue in circles. I feel that this makes the air bubbles. 

I also found these nails to be very inconsistent in length. The thumb sizes seem to be very long compared to the other finger nails.  I didn’t like how square the tips were.  I decided to round them out to be a little more natural looking.

Taking the nails off wasn’t as easy as applying them. Here is my advice on how you should go about doing this:

• Buff the faux nails with a nail file or white buffing block.
• Cut cotton rounds in half and load 100% pure acetone on the pad.
• Place cotton soaked in acetone on your nail.
• Cover with tinfoil for ten minutes.
• After taking off the tinfoil, don’t take the cotton off your nail. Apply pressure and pull down away from your nail with the cotton. If you swirl the cotton around you will not get a clean removal.
• Do this step quickly as the plastic nail will start to harden.
• Buff the nails to make sure they are smooth and you didn’t leave any glue or plastic nail behind.

Overall, I do like how my nails transitioned from short and unsightly to completely gorgeous in literally minutes. I would highly recommend using the KISS everlasting French manicure kit in “real short” for Brides or if you want a more natural look. If you don’t want to wear acrylics and would like the flexibility of doing your nails, this is a very inexpensive and simple manicure.

I didn’t feel like I was wearing fake nails. This style is thinner than what I have normally experienced in the past. If you work with your hands a lot like I do, you will be thrilled that they don’t chip, tear or rip like your natural nails would.
