What I am Inspired by-The Villa

In the heart of the French Riviera, between Nice and the Principality of Monaco, Villa Schiffanoia www.villaschiffanoia.com  enjoys a splendid panorama over the Bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer, one of the world’s most beautiful, against the backdrop of the promontory of Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat.

Particularly inspired, the Italian poet Gabriele d’Annunzio, after several stays here, named it La Schiffanoia, meaning “far from boredom”.

Entirely rehabilitated in rigorous respect of the spirit of the times, it now offers a chance to plunge into the magnificence and comfort of the legendary Riviera’s heyday.

In the late 1870’s, this exceptional location charmed one of the region’s greatest families who had the original structure built; the whole project, including the magnificent iron dome, was commissioned from Gustave Eiffel, the famous french engineer.

Everything about this villa from the brilliant blue waters to the butter cream textured walls inspires me for makeup and painting. If you have not yet been to France I would highly recommend putting this beautiful country on your list of “Must See Places” you will remember your trip forever.
